지난 2013년 5월 11일 파라과이 수도 아순시온 내 가장 큰 쇼핑몰인 Shopping del Sol과 Shopping Mall excelsior 에서 아리랑을 울렸습니다.

아리랑은 한국 고유의 가락으로써 2012년 12월, 유네스코 세계문화유산으로 등재 되었습니다.
인류무형유산 등재를 기념하고
대한민국의 지구 반대편인 이곳 남미 파라과이에 아름다운 아리랑의 선율을 들려드리고 싶었습니다.

또한 이곳 파라과이에 있는 5천여명의 한인분들에게도
아리랑을 들려드리고 싶었습니다.

"문화는 국적이 없습니다. "

한국인들이 모여 아리랑을 부르는것이 아니라,
파라과이인들과 함께 세계의 문화 유산인 "아리랑" 을 연주하고 불러보고 싶었습니다.

이러한 마음들이 모여 파라과이 교민분들과 봉사단원들이 함께
자발적으로 프로젝트를 기획하게 되었습니다.
