Как немец в Россию 9 мая приезжал жениться на русской красавице Алене, с которой они познакомились в Берлине. Счастливая пара едет в деревню — знакомиться с родственниками невесты. Однако туда же приезжает и бывший муж Алены — Толя, который неожиданно решил вернуть жену. Все оборачивается романтическим соперничеством, в которое кроме Толи и Гельмута, вмешиваются их друзья, родственники, а также другие жители деревни — бизнесмен Ерофеев, купивший дом по соседству, заблудившийся танкист и даже змея.
